About Jamon Holzhouser, MD, QME
Philosophy & Approach
Dr. Holzhouser’s path to medicine began during his service in the U.S. Navy, where he developed a keen ability to identify and address mental health challenges. This experience shaped his belief that meaningful care starts with genuine human connection. He is dedicated to building strong, trusting relationships with each patient, recognizing that effective treatment requires understanding how both his and the patient’s life experiences influence the evaluation process.
Education & Training
Dr. Holzhouser earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and carries forward the discipline, integrity, and attention to detail instilled during his military service. He maintains active medical licenses in California, Utah, and Virginia, bringing his expertise to diverse communities across these states.
Humanitarian Efforts
Dr. Holzhouser is deeply committed to humanitarian service through his church. His volunteer work includes food distribution at local food banks, disaster response, and international aid efforts focused on providing access to clean water and housing.
Personal Interests
Outside of medicine, Dr. Holzhouser enjoys a wide range of activities, including hiking, weightlifting, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, playing chess, traveling, and playing the ukulele.
